Battery Recycling at MCS!
Battery Recycling at MCS – UpdateAs of now we are restricted to recycling ONLY rechargeable batteries through MCS.Any kind of rechargeables, from tools, toothbrushes, computers, etc. If it can berecharged it can be recycled. There are no companies that will recycle single usebatteries free of charge. We tried a few of the companies last year and it was justtoo expensive to continue mailing off the batteries. You CAN continue to drop offyour single use and rechargeable batteries at school. Take a "military" shower!
Try to take a "military" shower 1x/week. Turn the water off while you shampoo, soap up, shave and turn back on to rinse. Imagine how much water you save during the time in the shower you don't need it! How many women out there leave the water running in the shower when you shave? It saves a lot of one of our most precious resources!

Make your own non-toxic Air Freshener & All Purpose Cleaner
Non-toxic Air Freshener: ( mix all the ingredients)
One fine mist sprayer (you can find this one at the dollar store or at any other store)
10 drops of Lemon oil
5 drops Bergamot oil (Citrus Bergania Risso)
5 drops of Grapefruit oil
Distilled water
All Purposes Cleaning Spray:
32 oz bottle
2 cups of water
1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar
1 teaspoon of pure castille soap
3/4 cup hydrogen peroxide
20 drops tea tree oil
20 drops of lavender or lemongrass essential oil
